About Jocelyn "Josie" Heimsoth

Josie Heimsoth is a senior at the University of Missouri - Columbia studying journalism and environmental science. She has reported for the Columbia Missourian, Vox Magazine, The Mississippi River Basin Ag & Water Desk and Decoding Science. Josie was also the president of Science, Health and Environmental Journalism at MU.

Last summer, she was selected to be the first undergraduate intern at the MU Center for Regenerative Agriculture. She will be creating social media content and freelancing articles with a sustainable agriculture focus.

 

In addition to working at the Center, Josie is a reporting assistant for the Watchdog Writers Group. She will assist journalist Sarah Smarsh with research for her book about North America’s most endangered ecosystem, the tallgrass prairie.
